Below is the 3 medal grouping to Captain Fred O. Drennan.

Captain Drennan was with E/502 101st Airborne Division and was killed in Holland September 18, 1944.

I received these medals from a WW2 101st Airborne Paratrooper who was in the VA hospital here in Phoenix,AZ. Unfortunately, I do not know the connection that he had to Drennan, if any. They were given to me long before Airborne collecting was popular and an expensive endeavor. (late 70's or early 80's)

They have been privately engraved and I believe that the ribbon on the DSC has been replaced with a Robbins contract one due to the black brooch. The medal itself looks as if it was carried around in a pocket or purse possibly due to the wear.

I have no reason to believe that these are not Captain Drennans original awarded medals.
