We arrived in Normandy on April 28th, 2004. It was a beautiful day and the weather had been perfect, so far!

Our first stop on our whirlwind tour was in Benouville to see the bridge over the Caen Canal. Now known as "Pegasus Bridge".
The action that occured at this bridge was featured in the movie "The Longest Day".

On the night of June 5/6 it was Major John Howard's and the British 6th Airborne Divisions objective to capture and hold the bridge until relieved. Howard and the first glider landed at 0016.
